Alopecia or commonly known as
hair loss, is a condition where baldness or patches of baldness are
experienced. The causes of Alopecia are not yet known, however a greater
percentage of people affected by Alopecia are known to have a family history.
This means that hair loss is hereditary. For most people, hair that is lost due
to Alopecia usually grows back over a period of a year. In case it does not,
there are countless treatments that can be tried. While some people opt for a
hair transplant, others rely on anti-hair loss oils. Certain Alopecia affected
individuals have also used natural treatment of alopecia. Below are
several effective natural remedies for the disorder:
Essential Oils
A combination of various oils
such as thyme, lavender, rosemary and cedar wood is considered to be very
effective for treating Alopecia. This mixture of oil was tested on a sample of
86 people. After a course of seven months, 44% of the 86 individuals noticed
considerable improvement in their hair loss. While 15% of the sampled
individuals remained indifferent to the usage of oil. The best feature of this
combination of oils is that it has no side effects, however the oils used may
tend to be allergic to some.
Onion Juice
In another study, the relation of
onion juice with Alopecia was observed. 23 Alopecia affected individuals were
observed. These individuals used the onion juice regularly for about two
months. After a regular use of onion juice for two weeks, 17 out of 23 people
noticed re-growth. It was also observed that onion juice worked significantly
better on males as compared to females.
Sage Extract
Similar to Licorice, Sage has
also been an effective remedy for treating
Alopecia. It is believed since centuries that Sage contains abilities to
cure Alopecia effectively. Add some amount of Sage extract to the shampoo you
use. Or you can also use sage tea. Rinse your hair with double strength sage

vasodilator, Safflower is used as a massaging substance. Regularly massage your
scalp for twenty minutes with safflower oil. This stimulates hair growth and is
